ABOUT US

Landscape Conservation was established in 2006 to provide environmental land management and landscape contractor services. We are a modern Brisbane-based company using practical science and up to date equipment and techniques to deliver quality outcomes for projects throughout Southeast Queensland and beyond.

Landscape Conservation employs local staff with an impressive range of skills and abilities in the land management field.  Combining our extensive skills and experience in conservation, land management, agriculture and landscape construction, we work with you to achieve your desired land management outcomes.

Experience

Landscape Conservation has 17 year’s experience specialising in the management of natural areas, environmental offsetting, ecological landscaping and broad-scale rehabilitation for land managers, State and Local Government agencies, public utilities and conservation groups across Southeast Queensland. 

We bring an understanding of the needs and management objectives of the local landscape. 

We can assist you to deliver exceptional results by:

  • Providing highly skilled and experienced field staff who retain an intimate knowledge of the project sites, soil types, plant species and terrain gained from previous operations;
  • Providing a high level of technical support to the field works via specialist technical staff working in the areas of weed ecology, herbicide formulation and application, erosion control and landscape restoration; 
  • Understanding and maintaining a knowledge of regional environmental issues and how they affect the local area; and
  • Ensuring excellence in land management and environmental services.
Environment

Landscape Conservation is committed to minimising the impact of its activities on the environment.

 The key points of our strategy to achieve this are:

  • minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible;
  • actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers;
  • source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution;
  • encourage the use of water storage and composting;
  • wherever possible, use Australian or locally sourced products;
  • where possible, we use recycled products or those from a renewable resource; and
  • encourage the retention and growth of suitable vegetation during and after our construction activities.

Quality is important to our business because we value our customers and take pride in the results of our work. We strive to provide our customers with services which meet and exceed their expectations. 

We have the following internal quality control systems and procedures in place to support us in our aim of total customer satisfaction and continuous improvement throughout our business:

  • Training and development for our employees
  • Regular audit of our internal processes
  • Measurable quality objectives which reflect our business aims
  • Management reviews of audit results, customer feedback and complaints
Safety

Landscape Conservation is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors. We achieve this through the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of policy and safety management systems. We are committed to continuously improving WHS management systems, processes and practices with a view to maintaining our outstanding health and safety standards.

The Landscape Conservation Workplace Health and Safety policy outlines the company’s standards of operational behaviour and the expectations of its management, staff, contractors, volunteers, visitors and clients. 

Landscape Conservation develops job-specific Workplace Health and Safety Plans as an integral part of our Workplace Health and Safety Management System. Our WHS plans include: 

  • risk assessment processes; 
  • Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS); 
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS); 
  • staff competencies and qualifications register; 
  • incident reporting processes;
  • responsibilities and delegations; and

the storage and dissemination of relevant documentation 

Plant and Equipment

Landscape Conservation owns a vast array of relevant plant and equipment which enables us to undertake almost all projects internally.  From Four wheel drive trucks, tractors and loaders to spray rigs and hand tools, we have the equipment to undertake a complete range of bushland management, revegetation, track building and landscape construction projects.
